Chinese-American Networking Symposium (CANS)

Alternately held in China and the USA, the programs include presentations by networking experts and disciplinary researchers, panel discussions and executive and technical sessions.

Started in 1998, CANS continues its focus on working together to promote interoperability and seamless networking—and seamless collaboration in research and education. Particular emphases this year include network research; IPv6 migration and deployment; videoconferencing and telepresence exchanges; federated identity and authenticated access; integration of smart phones and tablets (such as the Apple iPhones/iPads/iPods) into university courses and infrastructure; mobility and advanced networks; Content Centric Networks (CCN); university-industry partnerships; and other advanced applications.

The local host committee looks forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and is planning many special events, including a visit to the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field!

The Organizing Committee is working to finalize details and will post registration and program information as soon as they become available.
