CANS 2012: One Network, One World

Started in 1998, CANS continues its focus on working together to promote interoperability and seamless networking—and seamless collaboration in research and education. Particular emphases this year include network research; IPv6 migration and deployment; videoconferencing and telepresence exchanges; federated identity and authenticated access; integration of smart phones and tablets (such as the Apple iPhones/iPads/iPods) into university courses and infrastructure; mobility and advanced networks; Content Centric Networks (CCN); university-industry partnerships; and other advanced applications.

The hosts for CANS 2012 are the Pacific Northwest Gigapop, Pacific Wave (a partnership between CENIC and PNWGP), and the University of Washington. The local host committee looks forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and is planning many special events, including a visit to the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field! For more information please visit the host website here.
