Networking experts from China and the United States gather annually at the Chinese-American Networking Symposium (CANS) to discuss new ideas and advancements in networking technologies. The program, alternately held in the United States and China, includes presentations by networking experts, panel discussions, and executive and technical breakout sessions.
CANS 2008 Theme: One World One Network
In keeping with the 2008 Olympic Games theme of 'One World One Dream' being hosted in Beijing, this year's CANS theme draws attention to working together to promote interoperability and seamless networking - and seamless collaboration.
Of particular focus this year is promoting Human Networking - real collaborations to work together on real projects of importance. Indiana University will host this year's Chinese-American Networking Symposium on its Indianapolis Campus.
CANS 2008 Topics will focus on:
1. Network Research & Next Generation Internet
2. Advanced Infrastructure and Hybrid Networking
3. Measurement, Quality of Service, and End-to-End Performance
4. Support of High Performance Applications
5. e-Science Applications and International Collaborations
6. IPv6 Operations & Management
